When we discuss meal planning, our complete and total focus, concentration, and emphasis is on helping to educate, empower, and inspire you to eat the foods and consume the nutrients that will help power, nourish and sustain you throughout your day. What you eat can impact your ability to reach your goals whether it is weight loss, level of energy, physical fitness or something else. So, it’s important to take this into account.
We are driven by our very strong passion and desire to work with you on making the smartest, most practical decisions regarding your nutritional health. Today, we as a society are dealing with the epidemic of autoimmune illness and chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high sugar, weight gain, acid reflux, and brain fog to name a few.
We are guided by common sense thoughts, which are a foundation for meal planning, such as: eating whole foods, focusing on fruits and vegetables, avoiding white sugar, white flour, and trans fats, and consuming more water, and we look at the seven principals of a balanced diet, which are carbs, proteins, fats, minerals, fiber, vitamins, and water. We are focused on finding anything that will help you achieve your goals, such as the focus on prebiotics/probiotics, and will look at various other ideas/concepts of nutrition that will get to the most positive resolution of any concerns, including using elimination diets and intermittent fasting. However, we know it’s okay to let loose and reward yourself once in a while, no more than 10-20% of the time.
It is understood that how a person eats can be a sensitive subject, so this is handled with the utmost understanding and compassion. We know that the psychology of eating can be very complex, especially when we take into account the influence of the family and society. There are many reasons why we eat what we eat given our emotions, our values, and cravings, and we'll be very proactive in helping you make the best overall decisions.
We know that everyone is different and what might work for some does not work for everyone. At Steve Gutman's Mind Body Dynamics, we find what works best for you!
